Interfaces and adapters

SATI stands for Stand Alone Trimming Interface. It enables zeroing and trimming of the encoder after it has already been installed. Successful trimming process done with SATI improves the system’s absolute position error down to ±0.2°. It can be used for encoders made with RLS AM4096 sensor ICs only. Read more about SATI interface

For use with absolute encoders with SPI or PWM communication interface EncoSight software available under Download Electronic data sheet, encoder status, position, configuration and calibration are easy accessible via EncoSight application The E201-9P interrogates a SPI or PWM encoder and allows the data to be read by a PC using simple ASCII commands over the USB connection. Also supports complete functionality of the EncoLink protocol over SPI interface. The E201-9Q counts edges from 5 V incremental encoders and allows the count value to be read by a PC using simple ASCII commands over the USB connection. The E201-9S interrogates an SSI or BiSS encoder and allows the data to be read by a PC using simple ASCII commands over the USB connection. E201-9S supports unidirectional communication for absolute SSI and BiSS C encoders (without register access). The E201-9B interrogates a BiSS C encoder and allows data to be read by a PC with simple ASCII commands via a USB connection and a virtual COM port. E201-9B supports BiSS C bidirectional encoders. The UPRG01 is a programming interface for use with compatible encoders from RLS. The encoders which support this functionality are the LM10 linear encoder, LM15 linear encoder, LM13 linear encoder and LM13 ring encoder. Note that a special option of the encoders must be ordered with this programmability enabled. The software allows the resolution, edge separation and count direction to be changed for both linear and ring encoders. The interface connects simply to a computer via a USB port.

The UPRGAM4096 is a programming interface for use with AM4096 rotary magnetic encoder chip and RMK4 evaluation board. The interface allows the user via a PC to communicate and program the internal memory of the AM4096 via the I2C protocol. A simple software interface is provided to allow easy adjustment of the available parameters as well as providing a graphical display of the position information and status of the encoder chip. The interface connects simply to a computer via a USB port.

For use with AksIM™ MBA-type encoders with BiSS or SSI communication interfaces to allow connection to RS422 compatible controllers or encoder interfaces. Integrated voltage protection limits voltage spikes to maximum 5.6 V. Differential lines are terminated with RC circuits for lower current consumption. Available with or without housing. 

RLACC connector adapter is a tool for connecting any readhead from RoLin product family to an E201 communication interface or similar subsequent electronics. It enables easy connection between RoLin’s 10 or 6 pin flex cable and 9 pin D type connector.
