What happens if the stick-on reference mark is applied incorrectly?

If stick-on reference mark is applied incorrectly, one of the following can occur:

• Reference mark is not detected in any direction
• Reference mark is detected in one direction only
• Reference mark is detected in both directions but at different positions, which are one scale pitch apart
• Reference mark is detected twice in one direction at one scale pitch apart

In order to ensure stick-on reference mark is applied correctly, always use LM10ARM00 applicator tool for stick-on reference mark.
